Excuse me while I add this book to my list of books that will be imprinted on my soul forever. It takes a lot for a book to bring me to tears, but just thinking about it again, I’m getting goosebumps.
Tia Williams’s writing knocked me off my chair, bed, the treadmill—wherever I was reading. She wields words with such power, and I found myself highlighting so much. This story is beautiful, the history is intriguing, and honestly, I just don’t know what else to say because I feel like my words won’t do this book justice.
What I loved:
- Ezra and Ricki have that true soulmate connection, and I felt it as a reader.
- I loved the whole cast of characters, including Ms. Della and Tuesday of course.
- I laughed, I swooned, and I definitely cried.
