Ashley Poston does magical realism so well, and this book balances humor, emotion, and magic so perfectly. Music has always been a big part of my life, and the way music is weaved into this story is absolutely beautiful.

This book isn’t just about love. It’s about home, family, friends, and self-discovery.

What I loved:
- The magical realism is so beautifully done. It was whimsical but also very believable.
- The initial banter between the main characters from the beginning had me smiling like a fool.
- The slow burn!!! Ooooh baby. Perfect. No notes.
- The last couple of chapters were so emotional, and I was holding back tears.
